NCG—Why The Polar Bear?

What does NGC have to do with a Polar Bear? Well, there are many reasons why this association is appropriate. Cochrane Ontario, where NGC is based, is home to Chimo the Polar Bear. A roadside attraction synonymous with the town, which is the starting point of the Polar Bear Express train to Moosonee on James and Hudson’s Bay. Cochrane is also home to Polar Bear Habitat and Heritage Village.

Like the Polar Bear, NGC is a northern based company and is uniquely adapted to working in the often harsh Northern Ontario climate. Like the Polar Bear, NGC is strong and fiercely attacks its jobs to ensure that they are completed on-time and with a high level of quality. Finally, like the Polar Bear, NGC is part of a declining population—in the case of NGC, a declining population of contractors who truly know what they are doing.

NCG Handles Major Restoration of Chimo Statue

When the town of Cochrane was looking for a contractor versatile enough to be able to handle the restoration of the Chemo Polar Bear statue, they turned to NGC. True to form, the project was completed quickly and to the satisfaction of all. Why? Because NCG is not just equipment. It is people. Creative people who adapt quickly and easily to whatever demands are placed on them.

NGC at Moosonee, James Bay, and Hudson’s Bay

When the remote town of Moosonee on James Bay needed a contractor, they turned to NGC. Once again the company showed its versatility and was able to provide the town with a self directed working team of skilled craftsmen and laborers to get the required jobs done.

NCG is Major Contractor for New Cochrane Tim Horton’s Event Center

NCG was selected as a major contractor for the new Tim Horton’s Event Center which features indoor skating, a swimming pool, a recreation center, and a fitness center. The center is now officially opened!

NGC is the best! Seriously. Although based in Cochrane, NCG has extended itself to not only cover the surrounding community, but also such towns as Timmins to the south, Moosonee to the North, Hearst to the west, and east to the Quebec border.
